Germany current champions will defend their title from a very strong Spain, Portugal and France with France strong favorites to take this years title. SCRA St Omer are the french national league one winners and will play host to the six nation senior womens teams entered England, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. The clubs venue is well known and supported in the town so i’m sure we will see that support relected in these championships.
You can see all the reports and results on the official website set up by the organising committee in addition to this we will be covering the championships with pictures from all the matches.

Another very competitive game from our Under 17 National Team, the game we deserved to win.

First half both teams were very solid in defence trying to use the counter attack which was most of the time stopped by good defence position moving to triangle until 4th player arrived in defence. In attack the ball possession was about 50% each team which shows how close was the game.

England Under 17,s in Dinan

England v ItalyThe 28th Under 17’s European Championships started yesterday here in Dinan, France. Eight teams are competing for the prestigious trophy with France, England, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and Andorra all wanting to make their mark. Although a live stream of the matches is being provided by the hosts our reporting team have not been given access to a viable Internet connection so we will be posting your pictures the next day from the local Internet Café.

England Ladies Under 19′s Final Report

The Ladies team made history by finishing on the podium in 3rd place for the Ladies Under 19 European Championships, which was held in Mealhada, Portugal from 3rd – 5th September.

I am very pleased with the achievement of our team in this competition beating Germany 3-2 for 3rd places, considering we lost 6-3 in the group stages earlier, this result was an excellent reaction from our team.

England Under 19′s Ladies Win Bronze

nrhalogosmallblack.jpgA historical result for the our England under 19′s ladies tonight (Saturday) in winning bronze at the Under 19′s 2009 European Championships in Portugal. In their last match of the championships England were victorious over Germany winning 3-2 (3-1 at half time). Congratulations to our girls and very well done.

England Youngsters Debut

schoolboys.jpgThe Quevert club in Dinan France will be the focal point of young roller hockey players during the week commencing 14th September with the under 17’s European Roller Hockey Championships. Eight teams will compete for this annual title, Andorra, Germany, Portugal, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and England. England will play their first match against Italy on the first day of this two pool tournament. Each team play one match each day with the first game starting around 4.30pm with three further evening matches. The Under 17’s European’s under the direction of the CERH is an introductory level to official International competition within Europe for our young players and is often the debut of many great players.
