The England ladies have recently returned from Noisy le Grand near Paris, France, their last friendly International tournament (see the pictures). This was in preparation for the ladies World championships in Chile at the end of the month. Other teams competing at the championships are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Macau, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Uruguay and USA.
Our girls have been preparing for the last six months playing friendly tournaments with other national teams in Switzerland, Spain and France. This weekend will be the last time the girls will be together before they leave for Chile five days before the tournament starts.
Unfortunately Ukrollerhockey can not provide photos of this Ladies World Championships only because of the lack of sponsorship and financial restraints. The title bar of the official website for this international tournament has been made up of photos from the Ukrollerhockey website but no credit has even been given for the pictures used.
We wish our girls all the luck in the world and look forward to receiving the scores and reports.
